Name: Mac and Cheese Serving: 4 Prep Time: 5 mins Cooking Time: 45 mins
· Cheddar cheese
· Light cream
· Pasta of your choice
Phase one: Begin by making a rule. To do this, melt half a stick of butter and 2 tablespoons of epis. Cook the butter off until it is foamy, and then begin sifting in your flour (around half a cup). Cook your rue down until it smells like bread.
Phase two: Once the flour has cooked down a bit, mix in your light cream. Next, fold in your cheddar cheese, melt until it is nice and velvety. Then, toss in your al dente pasta and mix.
Phase three: Crust the bottom of your cast iron skillet (or pan) with bread crumbs. Layer in your mac and cheese, more cheese, and then another layer of pasta. Top the whole thing with cheddar cheese and bread crumbs. Melt some butter and pour it over the top of the mac and cheese. Bake this at 375 for 25 minutes, then broil at 475 for 10 minutes and Serve!
